Details

Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Product Manager for Enterprise Deployment Solutions. The role focuses on Grafana Federal Cloud, which provides FedRAMP-authorized observability for US federal agencies, state, local, and education customers, and commercial companies offering FedRAMP services. It also covers Grafana Cloud Bring Your Own Cloud (BYOC), which provides the Grafana Cloud experience while customers pay infrastructure costs directly to their cloud provider.

The mission is to make Grafana Labs the preferred choice for organizations that cannot use standard SaaS because of compliance, data residency, or cost-at-scale constraints. The role will adapt Grafana Cloud capabilities for regulated and customer-owned environments, determine feature priorities, build deployment-specific functionality where needed, and help define future deployment models. AI tools will be used daily for research, product-signal analysis, and positioning.

Responsibilities

Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Grafana BYOC and Grafana Federal Cloud.
Use product data and market research to balance customer value, engineering cost, and technical constraints.
Own product positioning, messaging, and differentiation, including comparisons with standard Grafana Cloud.
Partner with Product Marketing on launches, competitive analysis, enablement, and demand programs.
Partner with Engineering and Technical Program Management on buildouts for these environments, balancing customer timelines with engineering capacity.
Work directly with customers, prospects, and field teams on strategic deals.
Brief partners, resellers, and analysts on Grafana deployment options.
Partner with Security, Compliance, and Legal on product changes affecting authorizations and customer commitments.

Requirements

At least 5 years of product management experience with a technical B2B product, or a technical background in software engineering, solutions architecture, SRE, or technical program management combined with demonstrated product ownership.
Hands-on experience with a non-standard SaaS deployment model, such as self-managed, air-gapped, sovereign, BYOC, single-tenant, or FedRAMP/government cloud.
Understanding of how non-standard deployment models affect products, operations, and economics.
Experience with cloud infrastructure, platform software, or developer tools.
Strong product and go-to-market judgment, including experience shaping product direction and positioning.
Interest in working with US public-sector customers and learning their needs and buying cycles.
Experience leading across multiple teams without direct authority.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a remote, globally distributed organization.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience selling to or building for US federal, state, or local government customers or other highly regulated industries.
Familiarity with FedRAMP, StateRAMP/GovRAMP, BSI C5, SecNumCloud, AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, AWS European Sovereign Cloud, or GCP Sovereign Cloud.
Experience with pricing and packaging across deployment models.
Experience with observability, monitoring, or data-intensive infrastructure products.
Experience working with resellers, systems integrators, or cloud marketplace partners.
Familiarity with open source software or commercial open source companies.
