Details
Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Product Manager for Enterprise Deployment Solutions. This fully remote role is open to candidates in the United Kingdom.
Grafana Labs develops Grafana Cloud, a fully managed observability platform built on open source and open standards. The company operates remotely across more than 40 countries.
About the Role
You will own Grafana Labs offerings that run outside the standard multi-tenant SaaS environment, including Grafana Federal Cloud and Grafana Cloud Bring Your Own Cloud (BYOC).
Grafana Federal Cloud supports organizations requiring FedRAMP-authorized observability, including US federal agencies, state, local, and education customers, and commercial companies offering FedRAMP services. Grafana Cloud BYOC provides the Grafana Cloud experience while customers pay infrastructure costs directly to their cloud provider.
Your mission will be to make Grafana Labs the preferred choice for organizations that cannot use standard SaaS due to compliance, data, or cost-at-scale requirements. You will adapt Grafana Cloud capabilities for regulated and customer-owned environments, determine feature priorities, occasionally develop functionality specific to BYOC or Federal Cloud, and help shape future deployment models. You will also use AI tools daily for research, product-signal analysis, and positioning work.
Responsibilities
- Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Grafana BYOC and Grafana Federal Cloud using product data and market research.
- Balance customer value against engineering costs and technical constraints.
- Own positioning, messaging, and differentiation for the products compared with standard Grafana Cloud.
- Partner with Product Marketing on launches, competitive analysis, enablement, and demand programs.
- Partner with Engineering and Technical Program Management on buildouts for these environments.
- Balance customer timelines with engineering capacity.
- Work directly with customers, prospects, and field teams on strategic deals.
- Brief partners, resellers, and analysts on deployment options.
- Partner with Security, Compliance, and Legal on product changes affecting authorization or existing customer commitments.
- Collaborate across R&D and go-to-market teams in a remote, globally distributed organization.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of product management experience with a technical B2B product, or a technical background in software engineering, solutions architecture, SRE, or technical program management combined with demonstrated product ownership.
- Hands-on experience with a non-standard SaaS deployment model, such as self-managed, air-gapped, sovereign, BYOC, single-tenant, or FedRAMP/government cloud.
- Firsthand understanding of how non-standard deployment models affect products, operations, and economics.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, platform software, or developer tools.
- Strong product and go-to-market judgment, including experience shaping product direction and positioning.
- Interest in working with US public sector customers and learning about their needs and buying cycles.
- Experience leading across multiple teams without direct authority.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience selling to or building for US federal, state, or local government customers or other highly regulated industries.
- Familiarity with FedRAMP, StateRAMP/GovRAMP, BSI C5, SecNumCloud, AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, AWS European Sovereign Cloud, or GCP Sovereign Cloud.
- Experience with pricing and packaging across deployment models.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, or data-intensive infrastructure products.
- Experience working with resellers, systems integrators, or cloud marketplace partners.
- Familiarity with open source software or commercial open source companies.
Compensation
The UK base compensation range is GBP 117,949–141,539. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset. The role also includes Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
Benefits
- Fully remote, globally distributed work environment.
- In-person onboarding.
- Global annual leave policy of 30 days per annum, including three Grafana Shutdown Days, subject to local legislation.
- Career growth opportunities.
- Transparent communication and empowered teams.
- Equal opportunities employer.
