Details
Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Product Manager to own enterprise deployment solutions, including Grafana Federal Cloud and Grafana Cloud Bring Your Own Cloud (BYOC). These offerings serve organizations that cannot use standard multi-tenant SaaS because of compliance, data-residency, or cost-at-scale constraints.
The role is fully remote and open to candidates in the US Eastern Time Zone. You will define product strategy, adapt Grafana Cloud capabilities for regulated and customer-owned environments, and help determine future deployment models. You will also use AI tools to support research, product-signal analysis, and positioning decisions.
Responsibilities
- Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Grafana BYOC and Grafana Federal Cloud using product data and market research.
- Balance customer value against engineering costs and technical constraints.
- Own product positioning, messaging, and differentiation, including comparisons with standard Grafana Cloud.
- Partner with Product Marketing on launches, competitive analysis, enablement, and demand programs.
- Partner with Engineering and Technical Program Management on buildouts for enterprise deployment environments.
- Balance customer timelines with engineering capacity.
- Work directly with customers, prospects, and field teams on strategic deals.
- Brief partners, resellers, and analysts on Grafana deployment options.
- Partner with Security, Compliance, and Legal on product changes affecting authorizations and existing customer commitments.
- Lead across multiple teams without direct authority in a remote, globally distributed organization.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of product management experience with a technical B2B product, or a technical background in software engineering, solutions architecture, SRE, or technical program management combined with demonstrated product ownership.
- Hands-on experience with a non-standard SaaS deployment model, such as self-managed, air-gapped, sovereign, BYOC, single-tenant, or FedRAMP/government cloud.
- Understanding of how non-standard deployment models affect products, operations, and economics.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, platform software, or developer tools.
- Strong product and go-to-market judgment, including experience shaping product direction, positioning, and sales strategy.
- Interest in working with US public sector customers and learning their needs and buying cycles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience selling to or building for US federal, state, or local government customers or other highly regulated industries.
- Familiarity with FedRAMP, StateRAMP/GovRAMP, BSI C5, SecNumCloud, AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, AWS European Sovereign Cloud, or GCP Sovereign Cloud.
- Experience with pricing and packaging across deployment models.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, or other data-intensive infrastructure products.
- Experience working with resellers, systems integrators, or cloud marketplace partners.
- Familiarity with open source software or commercial open source companies.
Compensation
The US base compensation range is $208,602–$250,322. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset. The role includes Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
Benefits
- 100% remote, global culture.
- Career growth pathways.
- In-person onboarding.
- Global annual leave policy of 30 days per annum, including three Grafana Shutdown Days.
- Transparent communication, empowered teams, and an innovation-driven environment.
