Details

The PDP Experience team is responsible for Reddit's Comments page, one of the highest-traffic pages on the platform. This role will contribute to technical and product strategy, operations, architecture, and execution for a large-scale platform.

Responsibilities

Work cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams to execute product and business strategies and build new products and features.
Contribute to the full development cycle, including technical design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch.
Review code and design documents and provide feedback on product specifications and mockups.
Contribute to team strategy and participate actively in future planning.
Collaborate with engineers to establish standards that improve developer workflows and recommend best practices.
Balance development speed and quality while building new products and avoiding critical bugs.
Continuously develop technical and non-technical skills.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
At least 3 years of post-internship, full-time professional software development experience with large-scale distributed systems.
At least 3 years of software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages, including Go, Python, Rust, or Ruby.
Experience with GraphQL, REST, HTTP, and Thrift or gRPC basics.
Ability to design and implement maintainable APIs.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and keep projects on schedule.
Self-directed, innovative, action-oriented approach in fast-paced environments.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences in a fully remote environment.

Compensation

The base salary range is $164,000–$229,000 USD per year. The position is also eligible for equity in the form of restricted stock units and may be eligible for commission depending on the position offered.
