Details
Collibra Public Sector's Professional Services team is seeking a Federal Engagement Manager to oversee delivery of customer services, manage customer expectations, and work with project leaders and executive stakeholders throughout the customer journey. The role supports customers across adoption, expansion, and renewal, and helps manage the installation, configuration, and implementation of Collibra products and technologies.
Responsibilities
Client Management and Communication
- Manage services delivery across a portfolio of diverse customers and accounts.
- Manage the installation, configuration, and implementation of purchased products and technologies.
- Help customers understand product functionality, optimize benefits, and accelerate time to value.
- Provide process, technical, and expert advice during the early stages of product implementation.
- Lead federal customer engagements in accordance with CPS delivery models, engagement processes, methodologies, and artifacts, while ensuring compliance with government regulations and security standards such as FedRAMP, FISMA, and GovCloud.
- Build relationships with senior customer stakeholders, partners, and service integrators.
- Correlate Collibra product features with customer use cases.
- Clarify business objectives and develop solutions using Collibra products, technologies, and services.
Planning and Project Management
- Develop project plans based on CPS account plans, customer initiatives, and use cases.
- Understand customer concerns and challenges.
- Assist Solution Architects with initial requirements gathering and customer solution development.
- Provide federal agencies with tailored data governance strategies incorporating best practices, knowledge transfer, and measurable business and mission outcomes.
- Prepare and communicate project status updates to customers and CPS stakeholders.
- Manage implementation escalations, risks, issues, and changes, including weekly communication within Collibra and to the project Service Manager.
- Identify and drive measurable value and outcomes during implementation projects.
Advocacy and Business Alignment
- Serve as a trusted advisor and liaison between Sales, Support, internal stakeholders, and customers.
- Partner with Sales, Customer Engineering, Product, Support, and Executive teams to align with customer priorities.
- Understand the Collibra Platform, operating model, workflow, and integration capabilities.
- Assist with onboarding new team members.
- Provide product, solution, and process guidance to team members.
- Coach project team members during service delivery.
- Help leadership define and improve engagement and delivery processes across the services organization.
Adoption and Expansion
- Identify opportunities to expand Collibra's footprint by aligning product capabilities with customer initiatives.
- Contribute to the growth of Collibra Public Sector's services and licensing business through account expansion, strategic planning, and customer advocacy.
- Help customers understand how additional technologies and features may increase value.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and residence on U.S. soil, because the role supports the U.S. government.
- 5+ years of experience managing services projects supporting U.S. federal agencies.
- Knowledge of data governance, data management, or data quality.
- An active Secret, TS, or TS-SCI security clearance.
- Knowledge of at least two or three of the following: data governance, data stewardship, master data management, data cataloging, and business rules management.
- Understanding of leading PaaS providers, data lakes, databases, and integration platforms commonly adopted by federal agencies.
- Experience with AWS or Azure, Kubernetes, infrastructure, and platforms.
- Understanding of APIs using Java, Python, or a similar scripting language for custom software implementations in Enterprise Linux or Unix environments.
- Understanding of data warehousing, ETL, and data integration.
- Effective communication skills across business and technical stakeholders.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- A customer-focused approach and accountability for customer success.
- Ability to learn new software and lead senior-level project update, value assessment, or business review meetings.
Measures of Success
First 30 Days
- Present the services offering and explain its deliverables and value.
- Present the Customer Journey framework, including its phases, roles, and responsibilities.
- Understand the responsibilities of delivery personnel, including Engagement Managers, Solution Architects, Account Program Managers, Premium Support Engineers, Sales Engineers, and Account Executives.
- Work with the account team to build project plans for assigned accounts.
First 60 Days
- Navigate Salesforce, including accounts, projects, and utilization.
- Identify at-risk customers and build remediation plans.
- Identify process gaps and inefficiencies within the services organization.
- Advise Sales on proposed services engagements.
- Build and present delivery plans for assigned accounts.
First 90 Days
- Build playbooks addressing process gaps and inefficiencies.
- Execute remediation plans for at-risk customers in collaboration with Sales, Support, and technical teams.
- Explain how Collibra's suite capabilities and delivered projects provide customer value.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary: $96,000–$120,000 per year.
- Eligible for additional commission-based compensation.
- Total rewards may include bonus potential, equity for eligible roles, a Flex Fund monthly stipend, pension or 401(k) plans, health coverage, and time off.
