The AI Deployment Engineering team ensures the safe and effective deployment of generative AI applications for developers and enterprises. The team works as a trusted advisor and thought partner for customers, building backlogs of generative AI use cases and driving them to production through technical guidance.

The role leads AI Deployment Engineers supporting technology and software companies in the Digital Native segment. It involves managing the implementation journey, ensuring platform integration, aligning technical teams throughout the customer lifecycle, and driving live production applications, increased API adoption, and impactful customer stories.

The role is open in the San Francisco office and follows a hybrid work model requiring three days in the office per week.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy and operating model of the AI Deployment Engineering team, aligning it with company objectives and evolving customer needs.
• Lead, build, and mentor a high-performing team of AI Deployment Engineers.
• Deliver customer outcomes demonstrated by production applications and increased API adoption.
• Serve as the technical advocate for customers and synthesize their needs to inform Research and Applied Product and Engineering roadmaps.
• Act as the primary technical escalation point during development.
• Foster trust and maintain direct communication with executive-level stakeholders.
• Serve as an industry thought leader, championing the safe and innovative application of the company’s technology across various sectors.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in a technical customer-facing role, managing C-level technical and business relationships with complex global organizations.
• 2+ years of experience leading technical post-sales teams, including hiring, developing, and managing technical teams.
• Experience leading complex implementations of generative AI or traditional machine learning solutions.
• Knowledge of network and cloud architecture.
• Industry experience with programming languages such as Python or JavaScript.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate business and technical topics for diverse audiences and mentor others.
• A humble attitude, eagerness to help others, and willingness to develop missing knowledge to support team and customer success.
