Details

The Technical Success team is responsible for the customer experience on the OpenAI suite of products, helping developers and enterprises maximize benefit, value, and adoption from its models. Customers range from early-stage startups to established global enterprises.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver an exceptional pre-sales experience for Digital Native prospects and customers by providing technical expertise, outlining the value proposition, and answering product, API, and LLM-related questions.
  • Demonstrate how OpenAI's suite of products can meet customer business needs and deliver substantial business value, including by:
    • Building and presenting demos.
    • Leading proof of concepts.
    • Scoping use cases.
    • Recommending architecture patterns.
    • Providing in-depth technical advisory.
  • Create and maintain documentation, guides, and FAQs related to common questions and requirements discovered during the pre-sales process.
  • Develop and nurture strong customer relationships during the evaluation, validation, and purchasing process.
  • Foster customer advocacy and represent the voice of the customer with internal teams by gathering and relaying customer feedback, identifying themes across customers, and incorporating them into product planning.
  • Serve as the first line of defense for security and compliance questions by explaining standardized collateral, guiding customers toward relevant resources such as the trust portal, and escalating complex requirements to the appropriate teams.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in technical pre-sales or a similar role, including 4+ years selling to technology customers and managing C-level technical and business relationships with complex global organizations.
  • Thorough understanding of IT security principles, enterprise architecture, and customer requirements for technical B2B SaaS products, with experience providing higher-level security and compliance support.
  • Foundational training in programming languages such as Python or JavaScript.
  • Experience delivering prototypes of generative AI or traditional machine learning solutions.
  • Knowledge of network and cloud architecture.
  • Effective presentation and communication skills, including the ability to translate business and technical topics for all audiences, including senior leaders.
  • Ability to own problems end-to-end and learn whatever knowledge is needed to complete the work.
  • Humble attitude, eagerness to help colleagues, and willingness to do what it takes to help the team succeed.
