Details

Consensys is a blockchain and Web3 software company building products and infrastructure for decentralized applications. MetaMask is developing social and multi-chain user experiences across its Portfolio, Browser Extension, and Mobile platforms.

This is a fully remote role on a globally distributed engineering team. Applicants based in France, Italy, or Germany cannot be considered. Employment is subject to background checks, including employment, education, and criminal record checks.

Responsibilities

Contribute to MetaMask's social expansion and multi-chain user experiences.
Unify, enhance, and transform experiences across MetaMask Portfolio, Browser Extension, and Mobile platforms to support social experiences.
Coordinate and communicate with other experience teams to complete complex projects.
Mentor more junior team members and elevate the engineering team's capabilities.

Requirements

6+ years of experience working with web and mobile-based technologies.
Hands-on experience with React and React Native.
Extensive experience with modern JavaScript, including ES6 and TypeScript.
Experience with blockchain fundamentals across multiple blockchain architectures.
Strong working knowledge of cross-platform and browser compatibility development.
Experience working in an agile development team.
Experience developing medium- to large-scale applications across the entire stack with minimal technical debt through sensible abstractions, testing, linting, and adherence to coding and web standards.
Experience consuming APIs.
Demonstrable understanding of continuous integration.
Strong understanding of web-based security threats and prevention techniques.
Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
Teamwork, flexibility, initiative, communication, and organizational skills.
Willingness to continuously learn and improve.

Bonus Points

Working knowledge of multiple blockchain protocols, including EVM and non-EVM protocols.
Experience with cross-chain bridges, transaction lifecycles, or interoperability solutions.
Passion for and knowledge of blockchain technologies.
Experience working in a decentralized, distributed team.
Previous Web3 experience.
Product knowledge of the Web3 wallet space.
Mobile experience with React Native, Objective-C, or Swift.
