About the Team

The Solutions Architecture team works with Stripe’s largest and most complex users to understand their technical requirements and map those requirements to Stripe technology.

As a Solutions Architect, you will partner with Sales to technically qualify new business opportunities, demonstrate the capabilities of the Stripe Platform, and design robust technical solutions to enable payment transactions, manage money movements, and simplify financial operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Chief Technical Officers, engineering leads, and other technical leaders at key users to share technology roadmaps, demonstrate the latest innovations, and define solution strategies.
• Lead technical discussions and solution deep dives with users about the value Stripe can provide.
• Serve as an advocate for customers internally, ensuring their needs are represented with product engineering and influencing product direction and priorities.
• Create technical content, including reference architectures and demos, to share with users.
• Speak as a thought leader at industry conferences.
• Engage and motivate cross-functionally with internal teams and customer organizations at all levels, from C-suite executives to product engineering teams.
• Work as part of a pre-sales team to deliver exceptional customer results while applying deep technical expertise.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• 7+ years of work experience or equivalent in a combination of pre-sales, technical architecture, application delivery, technical consulting, application architecture, systems architecture, integration architecture, or technical engineering roles.
• At least 4 years of experience in a customer-facing pre-sales role.
• Strong technical knowledge of software architecture, with breadth across technology stacks and deep hands-on skills.
• Ability to discuss technical concepts and explain how they work from both product-feature and API-architecture perspectives.
• Ability to write code.
• Experience working with large enterprise customers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present to large audiences in both German and English.
• German fluency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in payment systems and e-commerce solutions.

You are an experienced technologist with a blend of technical depth and strong business consulting skills. You can write code but prefer working with users to create Stripe solutions that support business objectives in complex, mission-critical environments. You can think strategically about technical possibilities and clearly articulate them in ways that inform users and build confidence in Stripe technology.
