Details

You will join one of the teams within the CRO NL domain in Amsterdam. CRO NL is responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and managing ING Netherlands’ key risks, safeguarding regulatory compliance, protecting the bank’s reputation and resilience, and enabling sustainable growth through sound risk management and decision-making.

The team increasingly leverages advanced analytics and AI-driven solutions, including Co-Pilot agents, to improve efficiency, horizon scanning, and control effectiveness. You will collaborate with risk experts in a multidisciplinary and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

Agent Development and AI Solutions

  • Design and develop agent-based solutions to support NFR processes with Co-Pilot.
  • Prototype and validate new approaches for automation in risk management.

Data Analysis and Process Improvement

  • Analyze and process structured and unstructured data relevant to NFR domains.
  • Translate business problems into data-driven solutions.

Research and Innovation

  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in AI, agents, and data science.
  • Support knowledge-sharing or training sessions on AI within different NFR teams.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with NFR experts, IT teams, and other stakeholders in ING Netherlands and within Group NFR departments.
  • Present outcomes, demos, and recommendations to the management team.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience with machine learning, data analysis, or AI/LLM frameworks.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Co-Pilot.
  • Experience with prompt engineering and building agents.
  • Interest in risk management, banking, or regulatory environments.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Proactive, curious, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
  • During the internship, mandatory enrollment at a Dutch university, or at an EU university for EU passport holders.

Internship Details

  • Minimum duration: 6 months.
  • Number of hours: 36 hours per week.
  • Start date: To be determined.
