Coinbase is a remote-first, but not remote-only company. Employees are expected to meet quarterly for in-person working sessions called “surges.”
As a Software Engineer, Enterprise Apps on the CX Shared Agent Platforms and SFDC Solutions team within Coinbase's Enterprise Applications and Architecture organization, you will build platforms and services that power customer experience and compliance operations. The team develops scalable internal tools, agent workflows, and integrations that help CX agents resolve customer issues and manage KYC and compliance processes with greater speed and accuracy. You will own full-stack development of services and applications that improve agent productivity and customer satisfaction at scale.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship full-stack services and applications using Golang, gRPC, TypeScript, and React to support CX agent workflows and automation.
- Own the design, implementation, and integration of third-party platforms, including Salesforce, Maestro QA, and Assembled, to extend Coinbase's internal CX tooling capabilities.
- Drive platform modernization efforts, including support for strategic platform transitions and the evolution of the agent platform landscape.
- Partner with product, design, security, and data teams to deliver cross-functional solutions to complex operational and compliance challenges.
- Lead code reviews, architecture discussions, and testing practices that raise the quality bar across the team and support reliable, high-traffic production systems.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks during design and implementation, proactively adapting approaches to maintain platform reliability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Go and hands-on experience building scalable backend services using gRPC and event-driven architectures such as Kafka or similar technologies.
- Full-stack development experience with TypeScript or JavaScript and modern component-based frameworks such as React, delivering production-quality applications.
- Experience operating production systems on AWS with Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines such as Buildkite or similar tools.
- Experience implementing rate limiters, caching, load balancing, and observability tooling.
- A proven track record of evaluating, integrating, and extending third-party SaaS platforms in a production enterprise environment.
- Experience mentoring engineers on design patterns, testing practices, and deployment processes in a distributed, multi-time-zone team.
- Ability to use generative AI responsibly while maintaining human oversight and delivering business-ready outputs that improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
- Experience using generative AI tools and copilots such as LibreChat, Gemini, or Glean, with human-in-the-loop practices and a commitment to continuously learning as these tools evolve.
Compensation
The target annual base salary range, excluding equity and bonus, is R$341,240–R$359,200 BRL. Total compensation may also include equity, bonus eligibility, and medical, dental, and vision benefits.
