Responsibilities

Design and build internal products used daily by engineering, product, and cross-functional teams across Stripe.
Own end-to-end systems spanning frontend, backend, data, and integrations that remove bottlenecks and meaningfully increase product development velocity.
Collaborate with partner teams to understand workflows, define requirements, and build tools that improve iteration speed, quality, and clarity in the product lifecycle.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
Five years of post-bachelor's progressive work experience in software development or a related occupation.
Five years of experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining full-stack or backend web applications.
Five years of experience with one or more of Java, Go, Python, Ruby, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
Five years of experience building and consuming REST or gRPC APIs.
Five years of experience working with databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL systems.
Five years of experience working in cloud environments including AWS or GCP.
Five years of experience with frontend frameworks including React or Vue, or experience building product UIs.
Experience owning large components or projects and driving alignment with cross-functional partners.
Experience debugging.

Compensation and Work Arrangement

Salary: $206,086–$285,600 per year.
40 hours per week.
50% telecommuting permitted.
Multiple positions available.
