Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform used by businesses to accept payments, grow revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities.

The Billing Solutions Architects team specializes in Stripe’s billing products and the broader subscription, billing, and payments industry. The team uses Stripe’s platform to solve complex customer problems, collaborates with sales teams on custom solutions, supports strategic merchant guidance, contributes to revenue and pipeline goals, and provides feedback to product and engineering teams.

You will serve as a technical advisor and solutions expert, driving adoption of Stripe’s billing solutions with new and existing customers. You will collaborate with sales, marketing, product, and engineering teams to support customer go-lives, influence the product roadmap, develop technical solutions, and scale organizational expertise through training and knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities

Serve as the subject matter expert on billing and revenue recognition solutions, including order-to-cash processes, customer journeys, and the competitive landscape.
Architect solutions for complex customer challenges, including integrations and customizations.
Partner with sales and alliances teams to drive opportunities with major customers, lead solution strategy, and support successful implementations.
Represent the customer voice by providing insights that influence product development and feature prioritization.
Create and share best practices, reusable assets, and training materials.
Help resolve complex technical issues for key customers in collaboration with customer success and engineering teams.
Represent technical considerations in sales forecasts, identify potential blockers, and propose solutions.
Participate in executive briefings, conferences, trade shows, and other marketing events.
Travel up to 30% of the time.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in technical sales or pre-sales roles, with a focus on solution architecture and best practices.
5+ years of current experience in payments, fintech, or a closely related industry.
Strong technical acumen in API integrations, SaaS platforms, and enterprise architectures, particularly order-to-cash processes and billing systems.
Extensive experience with subscription, billing, and payment solutions.
Solid understanding of financial infrastructure industry trends and emerging technologies.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Executive presence and strong relationship-building skills.
Passion for customer success and commitment to championing the customer voice.
