Details
Grafana Labs is the company behind the open observability cloud. Grafana Cloud is a fully managed observability platform built for scale with AI-driven features to help organizations see, understand, and act on disparate data. Grafana Labs is a 100% remote company with team members across 40+ countries.
This role is remote and Grafana Labs is considering candidates located in Germany, Ireland, Sweden, Spain, and the United Kingdom only.
The Opportunity
Join the 2H (2nd Horizon) skunkworks initiative focused on bringing observability to broader enterprise analytics and enabling humans and AI agents to understand and act on data across the organization. The team builds AI-powered features for product analytics, sales data, and other analytics use cases to surface meaningful signals from messy data. You will design, develop, test, and ship AI-powered features that handle large datasets and expand analytics-focused AI agents for information retrieval and workflows.
Responsibilities
- Build and deliver AI solutions: take ownership of developing high-performance AI features to help users discover, organize, and optimize access to large datasets.
- Rapid experimentation and iteration: prototype, test, validate with real users, and ship LLM- or agent-powered workflows for the data engineering lifecycle.
- Collaborate across the team to shape AI-driven product features and integrate agentic components with internal tools (e.g., Slack) and alerting systems; engage with internal data teams for dogfooding.
- Use AI and automation tools to enhance product functionality and development workflows.
- Take full ownership to ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with user workflows.
Requirements
- Experience with LLMs, context engineering, and building applications powered by generative AI (GenAI).
- Proven track record of delivering production-grade, user-facing software that is actively used by users.
- Exposure to cloud-native environments (examples: AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Experience using observability tools to understand and troubleshoot system behavior.
- Strong software engineering skills, self-starter attitude, ability to iterate quickly and make UI design decisions when needed.
Bonus Points
- Experience building or working with agent frameworks or multi-agent workflows.
- Experience as a data analyst or working with data platforms (examples: Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Snowflake, Databricks).
- Experience building tools for data engineering.
Compensation & Rewards
- Ireland base compensation range: €117,000 - €147,000 (country-specific ranges; actual compensation may vary by level, experience, and skillset). Benefits include equity, potential bonus, and other benefits referenced by Grafana Labs.
