Are you a passionate SAS expert who thrives on taking ownership of critical platforms? ABN AMRO is looking for a Senior SAS Engineer to become the technical lead and trusted expert for its SAS RCM capability within the Financial Risk Grid.

Responsibilities

  • Take end-to-end responsibility for the performance, stability, and strategic evolution of the SAS RCM platform.
  • Act as the technical owner and expert for the SAS RCM application.
  • Define and drive the platform roadmap and long-term strategy.
  • Design and implement scalable and reliable solutions.
  • Reduce complexity and improve operational efficiency.
  • Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot SAS environments.
  • Manage licenses, upgrades, patches, and hotfixes.
  • Lead collaboration with stakeholders and ensure strong internal ownership while reducing dependence on external support.
  • Work in an Agile Scrum environment with SAS Administrators, Platform Engineers, and a Product Owner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree with an IT focus.
  • Strong hands-on experience as a SAS Administrator using SAS 9.4 or later.
  • Deep expertise in SAS.
  • Solid knowledge of SAS architecture and cloud hosting, preferably Azure.
  • Familiarity with Agile ways of working, Scrum, and CI/CD best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
  • An entrepreneurial attitude.
  • Knowledge of SAS RCM is a significant advantage.

Working Environment

You will join a highly collaborative and international Agile team in a dynamic, multicultural environment. The team uses Scrum, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
