Details

Grafana Labs is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect in Professional Services to join its Customer Experience team. This hands-on role supports customers with complex technical problems, onboarding, implementation, expansion, and observability adoption. The role involves acting as a trusted technical partner, providing consulting and best-practice guidance without carrying a sales quota.

The Solutions Architect will work across customer architecture, implementation, training, roadmap assurance, project execution, and product improvement. The role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on command-line problem solving, with a focus on open-source software, observability, and customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

Work effectively with business executives, project managers, IT development staff, customers, and partners.
Understand business needs and translate them into business and technical requirements.
Design solutions involving data visualization, workflow recommendations, migrations, and enterprise-scale architecture.
Act as a functional lead and demonstrate clear methodologies and functional capabilities.
Lead functional workshops, document requirements, and design appropriate solutions.
Deliver customer training, initiate engagements, and provide tailored technical consulting.
Provide roadmap assurance, guide project execution, and align Grafana capabilities with customer architecture, goals, and constraints.
Advocate for standards and best practices.
Stay current with Grafana Labs, observability, and related technologies.
Support Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Support, and Professional Services teams with product and offering improvements.
Identify recurring issues, monitor support needs, and advocate for product improvements.

Requirements

Located in the United Kingdom.
At least 5 years of experience working on deployment teams and using project management techniques.
Direct experience with observability.
Knowledge of best practices for using and deploying observability stacks, including visualization, alerting, metrics, logs, and traces.
Experience with Grafana products, preferably Grafana, Prometheus, Cortex, Enterprise Metrics, Loki, Enterprise Logs, Jaeger, or Tempo.
Proven track record of successfully delivering customer projects, preferably enterprise observability implementations for large customers.
Excellent communication skills for working with customers, partners, and internal teams.
Experience with Kubernetes, including kubectl and Helm; Tanka is preferred.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
Ability to work with complex business and technology requirements and translate them into solution designs.
Self-starter mindset and willingness to learn new skills and technologies.

Compensation and Rewards

UK base compensation range: £103,900–£124,500 per year.
Restricted Stock Units are included with all roles.
